Job Description
Overview Consider joining the Pennex family as a Quality Inspector III in our Leetonia, OH location. The Quality Inspector III will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of aluminum extrusions and fabricated components, identifying deviations from specifications, and implementing corrective actions. Attention to detail, understanding of industry standards, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will contribute to maintaining the highest levels of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs accurate inspections of in-coming material, in-process parts, and finished goods in order to support to the Quality Engineers (QE) on a day-to-day basis. Locates nonconforming material and designates a hold station for additional testing. Sorts nonconforming material utilizing QE instructions. Reports/tracks any deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action to appropriate person. Creates DMR's in EPICS; quarantines material based on dimensional results and coordinates containment Reads and interprets part prints. Follows through on measurement of correlating part. Understand the quality procedures, audits, and surveillances. Maintains quality standards during material reviews, inspections, and reading results. Communicates with production personnel regarding quality issues. Assists in resolving inspection questions. Provides input for inspection methods and improvements. Maintains consistent knowledge and thorough understanding of the changing customer requirements internal quality standards. Maintains information systems. Completes accurate records for continuous improvement. Performs general housekeeping duties. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent 1 or more years of related experience and/or training Required Skills/Abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment Consistently exhibits a positive, respectful attitude towards co-workers and customers Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available Regular attendance required Environmental Hazards Physical The employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Work Environment The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
