Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will champion the quality assurance process across various stages of our manufacturing processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable products. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement through testing, automation, and root cause analysis, supporting our commitment to excellence in synthetic elastomer seals. Duties He/she is responsible for assigned on-site audits to suppliers and Business Management System internal audits . Identifies potential discrepancies during the internal audits. Responsibility and authority to ensure that customer requirements are met. This includes, but is not limited to, setting quality objectives and related training, corrective and preventive actions, and the use of customer portals. Responsibility includes corrective action submission to customers, including implementation evidence. Understands and complies with relevant Management System requirements as called out on the Departmental Training Plan. Responsibility includes documentation updates due to customer and internal corrective actions (ie., Control Plan, inspection standards, and FMEA). Responsibility includes preparation of PPAP package for new items and annual revalidations. Responsible for creating and/or updating inspection standards. Issues internal CARs. Directly responsible for managing manufacturing gage and instrument calibration. program of IER Fujikura, Inc. Directly responsible for managing, monitoring, and reviewing MSA studies. Responsible for reviewing and approving supplier corrective actions. Responsible for performing on-site audits of suppliers following the audit plan. Manages resources to execute assigned programs. Provides continuing product surveillance and management of established products to meet IER Fujikura, Inc.'s objectives. Assist in the duties of the Quality Assurance Manager when the Quality Assurance Manager is not in the Plant Responsible for all aspects of inspection using the appropriate test equipment and/or conventional methods. Responsibility to manage and coordinate quality technicians to perform initial sample inspection, annual revalidation of gauges and parts, special studies, and annual layout records. Responsibility includes maintaining PPAP files for all parts with the latest blueprint revision Understands and complies with relevant Management System requirements as called out on the Departmental Training Plan. Experience Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience understanding and using automotive core tools. Certified Quality Engineer and/or Certified Lead Auditor preferred. Experience performing second-party audits and internal audits following ISO/VDA guidelines. Must be willing and able to train or assist in training of personnel. Has to possess leadership skills and be able to relay instructions clearly. Strong communication skills for collaborating across cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders. Able to communicate clearly in the English language both orally and in writing.
Pay:
$73,674.70 - $90,000.00 per year
