Full Job Description Job Title:
Quality Inspector - Plastic Injection Molding Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team specializing in plastic injection molding. This role is responsible for visually and dimensionally inspecting all molded parts to ensure they meet established quality standards and acceptance criteria. The Quality Inspector will collaborate with various departments including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to uphold product quality and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, particularly with plastic injection molded components. Responsibilities Conduct visual inspections of molded parts to identify defects such as surface imperfections, warping, or other visual anomalies. Perform dimensional inspections using appropriate measurement tools to verify parts meet specified tolerances and standards. Ensure all inspected parts adhere to established acceptance criteria and quantity standards. Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of non-conformances or defects. Communicate inspection findings effectively with production teams, engineering, and other relevant departments to facilitate timely resolution of quality issues. Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective actions for quality deviations. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized inspection area and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on process improvements related to quality control. Requirements Proven experience in quality inspection, preferably within plastic injection molding or similar manufacturing processes. High School diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications in quality assurance is a plus. Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection instruments. Strong attention to detail with excellent visual acuity for defect detection. Good communication skills to interact effectively across multiple disciplines including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of quality standards and documentation procedures. This position is for our 3 am to 3 pm shift, 3 days on rotation. Join our team as a Quality Inspector to contribute directly to the production of high-quality plastic components while ensuring customer satisfaction through rigorous quality control processes.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
