Job Description
Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for some Quality Inspector positions in Mentor, OH. We have one opening each on 2nd and 3rd shift. Pay rate for 2nd shift is $20/hour, pay rate for 3rd shift is $22/hour.
Quality Inspector Shift:
2nd 3pm-11pm Monday through Friday. 3rd 11pm-7am Sunday throughThursdau Pay Rate:
$20/hour for 2nd shift, $22/hour for 3rd shift. Pay is $17/hour for training on 1st shift •candidate must be open to a criminal background check•Description of aTypical Day:
The QC Shop Inspector is responsible for inspecting machined copper and aluminum electrical products in an active manufacturing environment. A typical day involves gathering part samples from all machines currently in production. The inspector checks parts for quality defects using hand-held gaging equipment such as calipers, thread plugs, and gage pins, while referencing blueprints and other quality documentation for product specifications. After inspection, results are reported using Microsoft Excel templates and emails via Outlook. The inspector also communicates results verbally to machine operators. The inspector serves as the main quality point-of-contact for their shift and is expected to answer quality-related questions in a professional and helpful manner. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.Additional responsibilities include:
Providing quality training to machine operators as needed Conducting gage calibrations Performing general audits of the manufacturing environment (e.g., checking for unlabeled product) Assisting with receiving raw materials Completing other assigned tasks within their training and physical capabilitiesRequirements:
Strong observational skills and attention to detail (most important) Problem-solving skills Ability to use quality gaging equipment (calipers, thread gages, gage pins), or willingness to learn Ability to read and understand manufacturing blueprints Basic computer skills (file navigation, email, Microsoft Word and Excel) Good interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently without constant supervision Ability to read and understand written English (minimum sixth-grade level) Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions in English Maintain an organized workspace Ability to lift and handle containers up to 35 lbs Ability to walk up to one mile per day Familiarity withISO 9001
