Job Description

A Quality Technicianis currently available through PRADCO to support the quality function across manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for product inspection, testing, auditing, document control, nonconformance tracking, quality investigations, operator support, and maintaining quality records in accordance with company requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, proficiency with precision measuring equipment, blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and product quality. Essential ResponsibilitiesInspection & Testing Perform inspections and testing, including: First Article Inspections Customer return investigations Incoming inspections Supplier-related quality issues Utilize precision measuring equipment including: Micrometers Calipers Protractors Various gauges and fixtures Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Quality Systems & Documentation Assist with document control activities, including documentation updates. Maintain records in accordance with Business Management System requirements. Enter information into quality databases and logs as required. Nonconforming Product & Corrective Actions Support the Control of Nonconforming Product process by ensuring proper: Segregation Identification Disposition Enter information into the Nonconformance Log. Assist with problem identification, investigation, and resolution. Complaints & Quality Support Assist with supplier, customer, and internal complaints. Enter complaint information into the complaint system database. Support quality-related investigations and corrective actions. Auditing & Production Support Perform product audits during production and inspection activities. Conduct outgoing dock audits of finished goods. Assist with incoming inspection of raw materials and products received from outside processing suppliers. Advise, train, and support operators regarding quality processes. Assist with formal quality training for new operators as required. QualificationsEducation & Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the quality assurance field. Additional education or training in quality-related disciplines preferred. ASQ certifications are desirable. Required Skills Basic math skills. Blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Ability to use measuring and test equipment. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience. Preferred Candidate Attributes Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify quality issues and assist in resolving them. Effective communication skills and ability to work with production teams. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Commitment to maintaining quality standards and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand and sit. Regular use of hands to handle tools, objects, and controls. Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Must possess peripheral vision, close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with regular exposure to production operations. Occasional work near moving mechanical equipment. Rare exposure to vibration. Noise levels are typically loud.
Pay:
$27.00 - $29.00 per hour
