Job Description
This position will be responsible for quality support within the facility for operators, management and for customers. This position will also be required to participate in PPAP's and be part of the APQP team.
- Writes, edits and reviews internal instructions and documents
- Monitors and supports plant processes and customer relations
- Coordinates activities with Quality System Coordinator to ensure 3rd party certification
- Interacts with supply base and customers on quality issues, prepares PPAP's, and does APQP team activities as required.
- Participates in quality systems internal auditing
- Prepares reports for review by Unit Management on audit findings and corrective actions
- Trains operators on basic SPC practices
- Responsible for assuring environmental compliance within department
- Responsible for establishing and training part specific gauging, conducting gauge R&R and process studies
- Interacts on new product launch teams to act as a resource to guarantee successful launches under APQP process.
- Works within the Quality Department to implement and audit the business system for
IATF 16949
- Customer liaison to address field complaints.
