Quality Inspector 1st-2nd-3rd Shift J&O Plastics Inc.•3.0 Rittman, OH Job Details Full-time $19•$25 an hour 8 days ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description J &O Plastics , a leading manufacturer of quality custom injection molding products, has an immediate opening for a full-time Quality Inspector position at its manufacturing facility in Rittman, OH. The Quality Inspector will primarily be responsible for overseeing real-time inspection and auditing activities on the production floor to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and the company's Quality Management System. This role serves as a quality ambassador within the plant, driving quality assurance best practices and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and perform in-line audits and inspections of plastic components, ensuring adherence to visual appearance, dimensional and functional quality standards. Review and validate first-article inspections, set-up approvals, and line clearances. Identify and escalate defects and reoccurring defects within the product, branding and packaging. Support root cause analysis, problem solving techniques and corrective / preventive actions. Ability to communicate and interpret quality documentation, such as work instructions, product specifications and safety rules. Support and facilitate consistent application of inspection criteria within the quality department. Lead internal audits of production processes, packaging, labeling, traceability and documentation as part of QMS requirements. Serve as liaison between production and quality departments, facilitating effective communication on quality-related matters. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and organization. May be required to perform additional tasks within the scope of the role to meet business needs, provided such tasks are consistent with the employee's skills and training.
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent required. 2•3 years of quality inspection experience, preferred in a plastics manufacturing environment (i.e. injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•Must be physically capable of performing job related tasks and job duties. This position requires long periods of standing and walking. Lift objects up to 50 lbs. The pay range for this role is: 19•25 USD per hour(J&O Rittman)
Pay:
$19.00•$25.00 per hour
