Production Welder Details:
Contract to Hire position $19.00 to $20.00 /hour Weekend work required Various shifts available (Sunday through Sunday from 06:00am to 06:00pm) Produce parts by loading and positioning component(s) into the weld fixture and welding components together using methods/equipment defined in operator work instructions and standardized work instructions Perform detailed (final gauge, bend gauge, hand held gauges, etc) dimensional inspection when necessary to determine quality of product Keep count of completed product on each run Product parts according to physical Kanban Record and dispose defective product in designated manner (red bins) Self-inspect welds and parts visually for obvious defects or as specified by work instructions Check all safety controls for proper operation at start of shift Follow and apply 7 Quality Basics (OK 1st piece, self inspection, red bins) Notify GAP Leader and/or Supervisor when defects exceed acceptable limits or when major equipment malfunctions occur Pack parts into designated container and record information in line with QS9000 labeling and/or packing instructions
Production Welder Qualifications:
Must be able to MiG weld Must be able to pass MiG weld test Must have own hood and gloves Satisfactory company work record, including attendance Demonstrate the ability to perform welding tasks on any production line and assemble parts effectively Demonstrate the ability to perform welds that conform to the quality standard and production pace We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
