Full Job Description Description:
Purpose:
Westrafo America is a new manufacturing facility specializing in the production of electrical transformers. We are building a high-performing team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. The Quality Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's quality initiatives by monitoring manufacturing processes, inspecting products, analyzing quality data, and assisting with corrective actions to ensure products meet company and customer requirements. This role works closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to maintain compliance with established standards and drive continuous improvement.
Duties:
Documentation & Reporting:
Create work instructions, forms, process flow diagrams, and inspection checklists for production operations. Conduct audits of manufacturing processes and documentation. Investigate quality issues and assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Collect, analyze, and report quality data trends. Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation. Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and procedures. Assist with calibration and verification of measuring and testing equipment. Participate in customer and internal quality meetings as needed. Provide evidence for customer survey forms. Ensure compliance with safety policies, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Process & Continuous Improvement:
Identify trends in defects and recommend actions to reduce rework and improve quality. Participate in process improvement meetings, kaizen events, or lean manufacturing initiatives. Update inspection procedures, checklists, and quality documentation when processes change.
Safety & Work Environment:
Follow all safety procedures. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain a clear and organized work area.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred. 3 years of experience in quality documentation or a similar role. Knowledge of
ISO 9001.
An active participant in ISO audits is preferred. Experience with completing customer surveys and performing supplier audits. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Proficiency with measurement tools. Experience with electrical testing preferred. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills. Strong understanding of root cause analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC). Proficient computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and data entry. Experience in electrical transformer manufacturing or related electrical/mechanical equipment is preferred.
Additional Information:
On-site position at our facility in Trotwood, OH, with the possibility of traveling to suppliers for audits as needed. Will require successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
