JOB FUNCTION
Promote quality assurance and assist with performance improvements throughout the KNA (Kumi North America) organization. Supports Dimensional data for new models, feedback failures to N/M Eng team, supports in creating and training on fixture procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supports KNA (Kumi North America) Q&D teams with improvement programs/ activities.
  • Supports creating procedures and assures they are commonized across the Kumi plants.
  • Supports Internal audits at all KNA (Kumi North America) Facilities
  • Supports in reviewing and tracking CM activity from Q&D incidents close out as approved and shared with KNA (Kumi North America).
  • Supports Q & D investigations as needed.
  • Assists with creating and maintaining all quality documents directed by NM Quality Manager
  • Assists in submitting all necessary paperwork to NM Quality Manager prior to due date as directed.
  • Updates quality documents, and any other information required by manager.
  • Maintaining and updating fixtures and fixture procedures, as needed
  • Dimensional data (layouts, data per event, gage R & R, and comparison data)
  • Assists with CMM- MP Fixture Re-certifications, as needed.
  • Any other duties as directed by the NM QA Manager or Sr Quality Assurance Manager
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Supports Quality Assurance department for all KNA (Kumi North America) Locations
  • Communicates any quality issues to NM Quality Manager
  • Measure and assure all dimensional data is to print.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meets with KNA (Kumi North America) Q & D teams, to discuss and resolve internal and external concerns.
  • Assists in preparation of materials for meetings and may present information at meetings.
  • Attend departmental and interdepartmental meetings.
  • Travel to suppliers and other KNA (Kumi North America) locations as needed may require overnight trips and up to 1 week of travel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Prefer a two-year degree in Quality or equivalent and three years' experience with continuous improvement within the Quality field.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Satisfactory work record, including attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime during the week and weekends when necessary.
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the company quality system and quality requirements from customers
  • Willingness to travel for up to 1 week or more.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Frequently communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.
