Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Technician Job Description We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Technician to take ownership of PPAP development, customer quality issues, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a highly independent role with strong visibility and a clear path for growth into a Quality Manager position. Responsibilities Own PPAP Level 4 development and submission for multiple customers. Create and update control plans, PFMEAs, and PPAP documentation. Program and operate CMM equipment and Keyence. Lead customer complaint investigations, corrective actions, and root cause analysis (8D). Interface directly with customers on quality issues and documentation. Collaborate with production and engineering to improve processes, gauging, and sampling plans. Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on proactive quality. Conduct process audits. Hands-on gauging and quality inspections. Essential Skills Hands-on PPAP Level 4 experience with multiple customers. CMM Programming. High GD&T knowledge. Control Plan and PFMEA updates. Experience managing customer complaints, corrective actions, and documentation. ISO9001 experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Stamping or forging experience. Keyence experience. Work Environment This position is located in a smaller stamping facility that primarily handles short-run stamping and operates 3 CNC Machine Centers. The metals used include cold roll, stainless, and copper, creating a true manufacturing environment. Expect a lively atmosphere with older machines and noise due to running presses. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Willoughby, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00•$70000.00/yr.
