ABOUT THE
ROLEThe Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for the quality inspection of incoming and outgoing materials, products, and compliance with engineering documents, company standards, and customer requirements. The QC Inspector runs tests, checks for defects, keeps accurate records, analyzes product, and ensures production follows quality protocols. The QC Inspector may be required to go to outsourcing locations to ensure quality, as well as conduct quality inspections at the company locations. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESInspect product, materials, and other items for defectsEnsure compliance with company quality standardsKeeps accurate records of test results and other relevant informationConduct routine and non-routine inspections of in-process materials and productsInterpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limitsPerform visual inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT), and other quality testsIdentify quality issues and recommend solutionsSupply quality data for submissionParticipate in auditsProvide feedback to company and suppliersDocument and report on internal and supplier performanceOther duties as assigned/directed by management
WHAT WERE LOOKING
FORHigh School Diploma or GEDAssociates degree or Quality training from a Technical School preferredPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment, Air Coolers preferredMinimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in inspection and/or fabrication required; minimum of 5 years preferredExperience with Nondestructive Testing, such as Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Radiography Film Interpretation, preferredExperience with MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and WordAbility to read and use gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipmentAbility to communicate with all levels of an organizationExceptional customer service skillsExcellent attention to detailExcellent communication skills including speaking, reading, and writingAbility to review and understand blueprintsAbility to apply specifications during the inspection process
