Day Job Summary We are seeking a Quality Technician / Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to inspect welded and fabricated products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements. This position will perform welding inspections, dimensional inspections, and support quality processes throughout production. Responsibilities Inspect welded assemblies for quality and compliance with specifications. Perform visual weld inspections according to AWS standards. Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections. Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Operate and support Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspections. Document inspection results and report nonconforming products. Work closely with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues. Qualifications AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred. 3+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing or fabrication. Experience inspecting welded products and reading blueprints. Knowledge of measuring tools and inspection techniques. Familiarity with GD&T and CMM equipment is a plus.
