Compensation is competitive and relative to experience. Summary Main responsibilities are to investigate and respond to customer inquiries, complete packaging and quality control duties, and complete various testing to check for consistent and compliant quality. The Quality Control Inspector ensures that a product design, company procedure, or technical solution meets company, regulatory, and industry standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Establishes, maintains, and builds relationships with vendors, customers, and internal departments to help facilitate the timely completion of projects
  • Communicates to management updates on all products under development, and their stage of development
  • Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of quality department.
  • Follows the appropriate steps of the quality control and issue resolution process, including the following: o Responding to all quality issues o Analyzing and troubleshooting defects o Coordinates inspection activities, including any required action on inventory and open orders, with various other departments as needed (e.
g., quality control, purchasing, engineering and sales) towards resolution of product-related issues o Develops, reviews and finalizes Corrective Action Reports and coordinates submission to manager and customer to resolve the quality issue at hand o Works through the issue resolution process until corrective action is taken and validation has been confirmed
  • Manages requests for specification changes to existing product to ensure that evaluation, documentation and implementation occurs within established processes and objectives, including the following: o Responds to all design specification changes o Coordinates review activities with various other departments as needed to ensure that new design specifications are effectively communicated, verified prior to implementation into production, and validated prior to customer delivery Qualifications Education and/or Experience • Associate/Technical degree required; Bachelor preferred • 2-4+ years of experience in a Quality-related position Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Driver's License required Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence in a pleasant and professional manner. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Computer Skills Skilled at using Outlook, Word, Excel, and the internet. Other Qualifications Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude Ability to perform the physically-demanding duties of the position
