Lab:
A Day in the Life Imagine starting your shift in Bend, calibrating instruments and verifying methods before a single batch is released. As a Quality Assurance/Control technologist supporting a premier beverage manufacturer through PrideStaff, you are the guardian of consistency—from sweet tea and active fermentations to filtered kombucha and finished products ready for customers. What You'll Do Begin each day by supporting QA/QC operations through analytical equipment checks and procedure verification to ensure accurate results. Run routine quality analyses across multiple manufacturing stages: sweet tea, fermenting tea, filtered kombucha, and packaged beverages. Measure key analytical parameters, including pH, titratable acidity (TA), Brix, and sugar levels, and act on trends you observe. Enter production and testing data into tracking systems every day to maintain a complete, audit-ready record. Collect representative samples, keep the lab organized, and maintain a clean, well-labeled workspace. Sustain compliance with Food Safety Management Systems, GMPs, SSOPs, SOPs, and HACCP plans. Build, update, and maintain quality documentation and standard operating procedures to reflect current best practices. Provide operational coverage for lab leadership and fellow technicians during absences. Contribute to R D support and process-improvement initiatives, including new product quality work. Safeguard food safety, compliance, and document integrity across departments. How You'll Make an Impact You'll be the steady hand that keeps quality data flowing, methods validated, and records precise—so every bottle meets spec and every audit goes smoothly. What You Bring Previous experience in a laboratory, quality control, or quality assurance role within manufacturing (preferred). Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and core food safety standards. Hands-on skill with lab equipment and analytical testing (pH, Brix, titration, and related techniques). Exceptional attention to detail with strong documentation discipline and reliable daily data entry. Team-oriented mindset and the ability to follow technical procedures with accuracy.
