Apply Now Share this Job Share this Job Start your new career as a Quality Inspector with MAU at Milliken-Gerrish in Pendleton, SC . As a Quality Inspector, you will inspect fabric for defects and inconsistencies, accurately classify and document quality issues, and help ensure finished products meet established quality and production standards.
What We Offer:
Pay of $16.96 per hour Rotating 12-hour shifts: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM / 8:00 PM-8:00 AM Temp-to-hire opportunity Eligible for permanent hire after 520 hours, at the client's discretion
What We're Looking For:
Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate, thorough, and consistent quality inspections Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to identify fabric defects and determine appropriate classifications Ability to adapt to changes in a production environment Ability to sync EVS maps with the inspection frame Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety and quality Ability to safely use tools and equipment associated with the position, including overhead hoists, sewing machines, fabric inspection frames, and the BARCO computer system What You'll Do as a
Quality Inspector:
Inspect cloth and fabric for defects, imperfections, abnormalities, and inconsistencies according to established specifications Identify, classify, and mark fabric defects accurately Grade fabric and complete required quality documentation Meet production goals as directed by the department manager Seam non-standard fabric rolls together using a sewing machine to achieve required doff lengths Use hoists and/or forklifts to move fabric rolls as needed Complete BARCO system tasks, including ending pieces and starting new ones Perform Daily Team Maintenance (DTM) activities Regularly audit safety items to help maintain a safe work environment Keep the work area clean and organized Follow all plant safety rules, safety absolutes, departmental policies, procedures, and job specifications Operate assigned equipment safely and responsibly MAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
