full-time Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a temp-to-hire position at a food production company in Portland, OR . Pay Rate:

$23-25/hour

Overview:

In this position, you will support all stages of food production by monitoring and documenting sanitation, safety, and quality control processes, performing laboratory tests and inspections, reporting non-conformities, maintaining sample and equipment organization, and ensuring products meet established standards through detailed oversight and collaboration.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 5:30am to 2:00pm

Responsibilities:

Monitor, record, and support plant sanitation, personal hygiene, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP programs throughout the production process. Perform pre-operational inspections, ATP swabbing, allergen testing, and process checks during production and packaging to ensure product integrity, accurate labeling, and net weights. Collect and test samples of raw materials and finished products for microbiological and organoleptic quality, and schedule external laboratory testing as needed. Maintain and organize retention samples, standardize and calibrate laboratory equipment, and manage inventory of chemicals and laboratory supplies. Report variances and non-conformities to supervisors or managers, evaluate product returns, and assist with dispositions and shelf-life extensions. Provide independent oversight of production processes for compliance with company policies, participate in special projects, and support other quality-related assignments as directed. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field preferred . 1+ years of food QC experience preferred .
