In 1999 our founder Gerald Roth started freezing berries that had been grown on his multi-generational family farm. Shortly thereafter, Willamette Valley Pie Company was formed. We quickly expanded from fruit processing to pie manufacturing and now a full line of premium, scratch made, all-natural desserts. What You'll Do:
Monitor manufacturing process, product quality, and control points to ensure adherence with the SQF program and quality standards. Monitor and coach production employees on adhering to quality and food safety guidelines. Assists in label review and reconciliation Performs daily equipment checks Assists the QA Supervisor in supporting Preventive Controls, SSOP, & GMP Programs Assists in record review Conducts environmental and sanitation verification (ATP) swabbing Trains & monitors production employees on Quality Control & Food Safety Programs Participates in investigations of quality issues/customer complaints Provide coverage in absence of QA Supervisor Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Demonstrate proficiency in math skills Demonstrate above average problem-solving abilities Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred Possess strong organization skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and tasks assigned at the same time Ability to work independently while having a team mentality Strong PC skills, to include Word, & Excel Willingness to train for other applicable programs
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum high school diploma (Associates degree or higher preferred) Previous experience in manufacturing industry required (Food/QA experience preferred) Certifications for
HACCP & PCQI
(preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand for full 10+ hour shifts Work Shift from 4:00pm to 2:00am
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is loud at times.
