The Level III Mechanical Quality Inspector is a senior technical and leadership role responsible for advanced inspection, GD&T interpretation, quality system compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position ensures product conformity to engineering and customer requirements while supporting and strengthening the organization's

Mechanical Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
Perform complex first article (FAIR), in-process, final, and receiving inspections on machined and fabricated components. Interpret and validate compliance to complex engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Apply advanced GD&T principles to verify form, fit, and function of precision components. Inspect complex geometries using advanced metrology methods including CMM and FARO programming and execution. Develop inspection strategies for tight tolerance and high-risk features. Perform and support weld inspections (AWS) and specialized inspections where applicable. Review and redline drawings and travelers to ensure clarity and manufacturability. Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
2015. Lead and participate in internal audits, ensuring process adherence and identifying gaps. Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analysis. Maintain and improve inspection records, FAIR documentation, and traceability systems. Assist in the creation and revision of Work Instructions (WI) and Operational Method Sheets (OMS). Serve as a Level II Trainer, mentoring and developing Level I and II inspectors.
Mechanical Quality Inspector Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree preferred 5-8+ years of mechanical inspection experience in machining and/or fabrication environments Proficient in all hand measuring tools: Calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, bore gages Strong drawing interpretation and inspection execution FAIR inspection and reporting experience Knowledge of RMA processes, traceability, and part marking Experience with: Optical comparator (operation & programming), CMM/FARO operation, in-process, receiving, and production inspection Intermediate GD&T (demonstrated) Working knowledge of

quality systems Advanced GD&T (Demonstrated Skills) Advanced
