Full Job Description Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Test products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics. 2. Inspection/testing of incoming components/products as specified. 3. Inspection/testing of work in process components, processes, areas, and equipment within defined time. 4. Inspection/testing of finished products as specified. 5. Records test data, applying quality control procedures. 6. Evaluates data to determine conformance to or deviations from existing specifications. 7. Recommends modifications of existing quality or productions standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. 8. Help verify tools and equipment are within calibration, and document as needed. 9. Able to complete all other tasks as assignedRequired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with other people both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be highly organized and oriented to detail. Must be able to work effectively under pressure and maintain composure when under stress.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within a small company.
