Job Description
QC Tech 1 performs routine product sampling, basic lab testing, and documenting quality data under supervision. High school diploma or GED required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer and basic software skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow complex instructions and procedures. Basic root cause analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed. High commitment to safety and quality standards. Experience with web-based applications. Experience in manufacturing or mining environments. Quality Control experience. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) knowledge. Forklift experience. Warehouse experience.
Physical / Work
Environment Requirements Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work on elevated platforms. Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, hammers, and wrenches. Performs all necessary quality testing for in-process and composites as required by SKU. Follows work instructions regarding testing, reporting, non-conforming product, etc. Enters data and test results into IFS daily and into excel spreadsheets as needed. Communicates regularly with mill operator, shift supervisor, production manager and quality manager on any changes to test results, in-process testing, etc. Calibration of all QC lab equipment. Conduct product sampling and testing. Record and report results accurately. Follow safety and environmental guidelines. Maintain lab equipment and cleanliness. Assist with data entry and quality documentation. Additional duties as assigned.Similar remote jobs
