This role supports the quality management system and continuous improvement initiatives through accurate documentation, evaluation of nonconformances, and corrective action follow-up. The position is responsible for maintaining nonconformance reports and ensuring all discrepant components and assemblies are reviewed and dispositioned in accordance with clients requirements.
Preferred:
Ex-military or Navy background with aircraft mechanic or similar experience. Must be able to work with close tolerances and machined parts. Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 2-5 years in a Quality Inspector role with dimensional inspection and reverse engineering practices Skills Required Organizational

Proficient in use, care, and calibration of measuring devices Experience with inspection tools: CMM, Optical Comparator, Faro Arm Ability to perform trigonometric and geometric calculations Primary Role Responsibilities
  • Quality Control Inspector Generate and maintain nonconformance reports Perform dimensional/layout inspections of moderately complex parts Use advanced tools (Comparator, Faro Arm, basic CMM) Generate inspection reports with limited supervision Maintain inspection tool calibration systems Review supplier reports and material certifications Perform source inspections at supplier facilities Mentor Quality Inspector I staff Key Success Factors Working knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.
Knowledge of machining practices and processes Knowledge of non-destructive testing practices and procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills Skill in component setup and evaluation Ability to interpret complex drawings Thorough knowledge of dimensional inspection practices and procedures General The above responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change based on company needs.
