Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for the inspection of manufactured and remanufactured goods, process and best practice development, completion of all necessary documentation and records, and early detection and prevention of nonconforming materials. Duties and Responsibilities Performs quality inspection of all required products in accordance with established procedures, with focused attention to detail. Perform dimensional testing and applicable inspection requirements of goods and materials using calibrated devices in controlled conditions. Establish and develop ERP driven controls related to inspection, sampling, qualification, operations, and pertinent information for in-house produced goods. Document results of quality inspections and sample submission write-ups in a clear, technical, and concise manner. Create and maintain Material Review Reports for all discrepancies and rejections in need of disposition. Understand Manufacturing drawings, specifications, technical data sheets, and GD&T principles. Support weld program through increasing inspection rates to identify common discontinuities in production. Documents all instances of rejected materials utilizing ERP system utilities. Reports any unusual discrepancies or problems promptly to management. Has the authority and responsibility to stop work, when necessary, due to out of control or out of specification conditions. Identify and suggest new testing or inspection methods to minimize inspection efforts required. Interface with other function areas of operations including but not limited to Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Production when discrepancies are identified. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities, along with reading related content or case-studies. Oversight of monitoring and calibration of gauges, devices, and equipment used throughout the facility to ensure accuracy of measuring and testing. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, including gauges and gauging, welding, and dimensional tolerances are preferred.Pay:
