Job Description
Utz Quality Foods is growing and looking for a detail-oriented, career-driven Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at our Hanover, PA manufacturing facility. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and have a passion for food safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, this could be a great opportunity for you. In this role, you'll help ensure the quality and safety of our products through product testing, inspections, documentation, and collaboration with production teams. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in quality assurance, food manufacturing, lab testing, or food safety programs. Shift:
Monday-Thursday 5:30 PM - 5:30AM Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and finished product quality inspections and testing Collect product samples and conduct physical and sensory evaluations Record and track QA data using Excel, RedZone, and other computer-based systems Support Environmental Monitoring Programs through sampling and documentation Assist with special testing and sample collection for Research & Development Monitor product quality specifications and ensure compliance with food safety standards Maintain accurate records of raw materials, lot tracking, and supplier information Help maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment Partner with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and other departments to support food safety and product quality Promote GMP, OSHA, and food safety compliance throughout the facility Support a team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement Requirements Experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Food Manufacturing, Lab Testing, or a related field preferred Basic understanding of quality control processes and food safety standards Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing schedules and procedures Comfortable working in a manufacturing and laboratory environment Basic computer skills including Excel and data entry Experience with RedZone, ERP systems, or quality tracking systems is a plus Good communication and organizational skills Mechanical aptitude or troubleshooting experience is helpful Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments Our Recruitment Process Easy Application (5 mins): Introduce yourself and answer a few key questions to get started.
