Job Description
Job Title:
Quality Assurance Technician Job Description The QA Lab Technician will perform various duties within the facility. They will adhere to cGMP and BRC standards, conduct QC checks on the floor, perform lab testing of raw materials and in-process products, advise on updating SOPs, conduct internal audits, perform investigations and root-cause analysis, and complete data entry/reporting via Excel. Cross-functional communication between all manufacturing departments and leadership is essential. The candidate must be able to work well both on a team and independently. Responsibilities Follow cGMP and BRC standards. Perform QC checks on the floor and lab testing of raw materials and in-process products. Advise on updating SOPs. Conduct internal audits. Perform investigations and root-cause analysis. Complete data entry and reporting via Excel. Communicate cross-functionally between manufacturing departments and leadership. Essential Skills Quality assurance Quality control GMP Food safety Excel Documentation control Biology AS or BS in Biology or any Scientific discipline Mathematics Computer usage Data entry Titrations Microbiology testing Food safety / GMP / BRC Laboratory experience Chemistry Food science Lab equipment usage Microbiological testing Lab documentation Additional Skills & Qualifications Bilingual Work Environment The plant operates 24/7, and this is a 3rd shift opportunity from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. There is a $1.50 shift differential, and a $1 raise after a 15-week training period. Bonuses are available every 2 weeks for perfect attendance. The team includes an Assistant Quality Manager and three technicians per shift. Per GMP guidelines, artificial nails, eyelashes, and visible jewelry are not permitted. Candidates must wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts. Uniforms and freezer jackets will be provided as the role involves moving in and out of the freezer throughout the day. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $21.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
