Job Description

U.S. Bronze Foundry & Machine, Inc. is a specialty manufacturer of bronze castings for a variety of industries world-wide. The complex nature of the parts produced requires attention to detail and transparency in all aspects of the quality operation. U.S. Bronze is in search of a full-time Quality Control Inspector to assist the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining control of all aspects of the quality system. The following are the most critical responsibilities of the
QCI:
Complete receiving, in-process and final inspection on each product received or to be shipped using micrometers, calipers, gauges and other equipment as necessary. Collect and compile data for certifications Release parts and paperwork to production after verifying compliance with customer purchase orders. Verify processes are in accordance with standard work and help to continuously improve quality and manufacturing processes Participate in weekly Production meetings, being prepared discuss, among other things, production and shipping delays as a result of rejected material Document non-conformances appropriately including entry on computer database and isolate non-conforming product received. Assist with internal/vendor/customer audits including assisting visiting inspectors with gages, drawings etc. Maintain document control and system for quality files Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration records
