This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and assist with material verification, sorting, and disposal procedures Weigh and ticket incoming/outgoing loads using scale systems and software Create accurate and compliant transaction records Grade incoming scrap materials and monitor load quality Direct vehicle and foot traffic safely on and off the scale Process inspection tickets and assist with inventory control Maintain and monitor radiation detection systems Communicate with yard staff regarding incoming and outgoing materials Report discrepancies or quality concerns to management Follow site safety procedures and industry regulations Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Willingness to learn and follow operational procedures Preferred Qualifications Scrap metal, recycling, or industrial experience Scale software experience Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift up to 20 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable transportation required - no exceptions Able to work weekends PPE required; work environment may include loud noise levels Compensation and Benefits On the job training and career advancement Full time pay, year-round paid out weekly Paid time off and 9 paid company holidays Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, FREE vision and life insurance, EAP HSA and FSA with employer contribution 401(k) with company match
