Description Position Summary NextWave Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for inspecting busbar assemblies and components throughout the production process to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and company requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality and accuracy. Quality Control Technicians play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Quality Inspection & Verification Perform in-process and final inspections of busbar assemblies and related components.
Verify products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
Utilize measuring devices and inspection tools to validate dimensions, fit, finish, and assembly accuracy.
Identify and document defects, non-conformances, and quality concerns.
Approve or reject materials and finished products based on established quality standards. Documentation & Reporting Accurately complete inspection reports, quality records, and production documentation.
Maintain organized and complete records for traceability, compliance, and audit purposes.
Report quality issues and trends to supervision and management.
Assist with corrective action documentation and follow-up activities.
Ensure all quality documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. Production Support Communicate quality concerns and non-conformances to production personnel and supervisors.
Work collaboratively with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Support training efforts related to quality standards and inspection requirements.
Assist in maintaining compliance with customer and company quality expectations. Continuous Improvement & Safety Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process audits.
Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with company housekeeping standards.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Participate in safety meetings and department training sessions. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Basic computer skills and ability to complete reports and documentation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Previous quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or assembly experience.
Experience using measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
Familiarity with quality systems, inspection processes, and documentation requirements.
Experience reading blueprints, work instructions, or technical drawings.
Knowledge of continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing principles. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
Ability to identify defects and quality concerns accurately.
Ability to follow written procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of production materials.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Ability to use inspection tools and measuring devices accurately.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and production equipment. Work Environment Manufacturing production facility with moderate noise levels.
Frequent interaction with production personnel, supervisors, and management.
Exposure to manufacturing equipment, materials, and assembly processes.
Fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail and accuracy.
