The Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association (CMHA), the premier national trade association representing manufacturers and suppliers of concrete products, is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Materials Laboratory Technician I to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the physical testing of masonry products, and the preparation and construction of masonry test specimens. You will work closely with the Manager of the R D Laboratory to support departmental goals, advance the association's mission, and foster a collaborative environment with staff and CMHA customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct physical testing of masonry products Prepare and construct masonry test specimens Adhere to standardized test procedures for evaluating construction materials Ensure accuracy and precision in testing methodologies
Requirements:
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to follow standardized test procedures Adherence to laboratory safety requirements and quality system Prior experience in masonry construction or testing preferred but not required Familiarity with ASTM Standards is a plus Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Schedule:
8 hour shift, typically 8 AM - 5 PM, some flex scheduling available
