ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Construction & Materials Testing Specialist to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines material testing and construction inspection responsibilities, ensuring quality and compliance across a diverse range of projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil Interpret civil construction plans and specifications Monitor construction progress, adherence to plans, and compliance with specifications Maintain detailed records of project quantities, daily reports, and changes Keep accurate redline and as-built drawings to document project modifications Communicate findings through written reports and facilitate information flow among all project stakeholders Ensure quality standards are met and proactively prevent construction defects Adapt to varying job site locations and schedules, including night shift assignments Travel to project sites as needed, including periodic extended stays Complete certification courses to continuously build skills and technical knowledge Willingness to support other divisions and take on additional roles as workload demands
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or material testing Testing experience: Material testing experience highly desirable Safety certifications: OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR certifications preferred Technical certifications: ACI or WVDOH testing certifications highly desirable
