Distribution Technician Location:
Greensburg, Altoona, Reading, or York, PA (Onsite with limited remote flexibility)Employment Type:
3 month Contract (Potential Contract-to-Hire)Pay Rate:
$45-$57/hr Position Overview The Contract Distribution Technician provides dedicated support for Long-Term Infrastructure Improvement Plan (LTIIP) projects. This role is responsible for coordinating materials, supporting engineering and commissioning activities, maintaining accurate system data, and tracking project progress to ensure successful and timely execution of critical infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities Material Management Review and validate material lists for accuracy and completeness Monitor delivery schedules and track incoming shipments Communicate delays or issues to field crews and leadership Coordinate urgent material needs with local Distribution Technicians Engineering & Commissioning Coordination Track engineering prints and project development progress Coordinate commissioning activities with internal teams and external partners Escalate engineering or commissioning delays to leadership Data Management & Systems Maintain accurate equipment records in Cascade Ensure correct entry of nameplates, serial numbers, triggers, and service dates Project Tracking & Planning Update tracking tools for material delivery and engineering milestones Support future project planning, including Cascade orders and RPAs Operational & Field Support Assist external crews with local coordination and logistics Contribute to long-term infrastructure project execution and planning Qualifications Experience in substation operations or a related technical field Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills Experience with material management and engineering processes Proficiency in data entry and systems (Cascade preferred) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment #INDGEN #ZRSimilar remote jobs
