Description:
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Quality Document Control Technician to focus on the administrative tasks related to ISO compliance of quality documents, including but not limited to prints, quality plans, FAIs & other documentation & quality records. Assist as needed in performing inspection of fabricated sheet metal parts, purchased components and mechanical assemblies to determine conformance to customer drawings and specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with in-process, part, and production quality inspections, including scheduled and periodic measurement of parts Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of Quality documentation in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and
ISO 9001
requirements Review, interpret, and communicate drawing specifications, tolerances, Bills of Materials (BOMs), quality standards, and acceptance criteria to support production Create ballooned drawings to assist the Quality department Determine inspection and testing requirements based on customer specifications, purchase order details, and BOMs; develop and maintain corresponding quality plans Support compliance with customer-specific quality requirements Enter, review, and analyze dimensional and inspection data (e.g., First Article Inspections, CPK reports) as required Identify and reject products that do not meet specifications, and place nonconforming material on hold until issues are resolved Document and track nonconforming parts and quality rejections in applicable systems Approve products for manufacturing continuation and shipment once quality requirements are met Enter and maintain quality reject and inspection data; perform related administrative tasks as assigned Assist with system and product investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions Support calibration coordination, including scheduling, tracking, and recall of measurement equipment Assist in monitoring and evaluating quality system elements to support continuous improvement initiatives Mentor quality technicians and shop personnel by sharing job-related and customer-specific quality requirements Communicate and collaborate with internal departments regarding quality issues and resolutions Support Quality Team members as workload and priorities allow, including training and development of quality inspectors Assist with the planning and execution of internal and external audits Create documentation to support customer and production requirements Perform other duties and functions as assigned by supervisor/management Complete REACH, RoHS and conflict mineral documents per customer requests Complete Country of Origin (COO) and/or
USMCA/NAFTA
documents per customer request General document control which may include, but not limited to Scanning in, filing, and retrieving supplier certifications Archiving inactive Quality files such as prints, quality plans, etc. Organizing and maintaining obsolete Quality records such as old revision
FAIs Requirements:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and the understanding of processes used in production, preferably sheet metal, stamping and assembly environments Must have the ability to determine quality checks required at proper sequences of forming and assembly, read and understand blueprints, and use precision measuring tools Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience using a manufacturing ERP system

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
