Job Title:
Quality Specialist Job Description As a Quality Specialist, you will be the guardian of quality and compliance by design, ensuring that quality requirements and deliverables are met from idea to launch. You will represent quality for CAT 1, 2, and 3 projects, and be responsible for creating pHACCP and rMMS Quality monitoring for new product and technology development to ensure full compliance with Quality, Food Safety, and Regulatory requirements. The position is located in Bridgewater, NJ, with a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Responsibilities Perform Food Safety Assessments and develop pHACCP and rMMS for new product and technology projects, including support to factories for implementation. Ensure Quality and Food Safety technical knowledge is transferred to operations through engagement, training, and handover of projects. Provide training to all functions that require insights into quality and safety, ensuring they implement these aspects in their job deliverables. Ensure full compliance with Standards and Regulatory requirements. Promote compliance with Management System requirements and other applicable standards. Participate as a member of the Internal Audit Team, responsible for auditing processes and areas according to the Internal Audit Plan. Support visits from regulatory bodies such as the FDA or USDA and external certification bodies. Assist in preparation efforts to obtain ISO and NMS certifications. Provide technical assistance to Quality functions in factories and Application Groups. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent. Experience in the food industry in quality, R D, or manufacturing areas. Demonstrated competence in supporting business requirements. Experience as a team member in a factory's quality department. HACCP team member experience. ISO 9001 and FSSC certification is preferred. Familiarity with ingredient specifications. Experience with quality by design. Additional Skills & Qualifications Quality assurance. Project management. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Quality control. Quality Management System (QMS). Audit skills. Experience leading part of a change effort. Participating in audit teams and/or improvement projects. Ability to establish networks of peers in markets or factories. Work Environment The position is based in Bridgewater, NJ, with a full-time work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The role involves working closely with multiple teams and requires a high level of engagement in quality and compliance processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bridgewater, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
