Temp-to-Perm Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with strong measurement and blueprint-reading skills? A growing manufacturing company in Warren, RI is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join their team! This is a great opportunity for someone with experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators . The company offers a climate-controlled work environment, cross-training opportunities, and promotes from within.
What You'll Do:
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured and machined components Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet quality standards Use measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, gauges, and other inspection equipment Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications Understand geometric tolerances and GD&T principles Perform AQL sampling and inspect production lots Complete inspection records, production documentation, and discrepancy reports Identify and communicate quality or production issues Verify material and product traceability Follow established quality procedures and work instructions Work with both electronic and manual documentation systems Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED required At least 1 year of professional Quality Inspection experience Experience working from engineering drawings and blueprints Hands-on experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other measuring tools Understanding of GD&T and geometric tolerances Experience in a manufacturing or regulated industry is preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP/database systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Additional Details:
40 hours per week Opportunity for overtime after training based on business needs Occasional overtime may be available during the week or on Saturdays Most of the work is performed seated, with frequent use of inspection tools and equipment Climate-controlled manufacturing and inspection environment Safety glasses and closed-toe shoes are required Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently This position is expected to start as a temporary assignment, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity based on performance and business needs.
