Job Description
About the Role As a Precision Measurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and dimensional accuracy of complex engineering projects. By leveraging advanced 3D measurement technologies and data analysis, you will directly impact the quality and precision of large-scale assembly processes. Responsibilities Execute high-precision measurement surveys utilizing laser trackers, total stations, and photogrammetry to verify complex component alignments. Translate intricate design drawings into actionable measurement plans, determining the most efficient sequence of operations for fabrication and assembly. Configure and calibrate sophisticated optical and electronic instrumentation to ensure exacting tolerances are met across multiple planes. Analyze raw measurement data to generate comprehensive compliance reports, ensuring all outputs align with rigorous quality control standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish reference points and verify the fit and adjustment of structural assemblies. Develop and document operational sequences and alignment plans to guide fabrication teams in achieving design specifications. Utilize CAD software and specialized interfaces to model measurement environments and streamline inspection workflows. Qualifications Required Skills Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in a relevant engineering or measurement field. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in industrial metrology or precision inspection. Proven proficiency in programming and operating SpatialAnalyzer software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and geometric tolerances. Preferred Skills Experience with 3D modeling software and CAD-based inspection tools. Background in large-scale manufacturing or maritime construction environments. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex measurement problems and implement corrective actions.
