Description:
This position is responsible for performing higher-level production tasks and activities under the guidance and direction of an Engineer and requires relevant experience. The role will support PMI projects related to the development, testing, and production of medical devices. This role typically supports Product Engineering based on business/project needs.Responsibilities:
Provide support to Product Engineering for projects driven based on business need. Backup/support Production/Operations based on business demand. Ability to set-up, run and clean processing equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing and Laboratory Practices (cGMP, GLP), Manufacturing Instructions (MI), Test Methods (TM), Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Process polymeric materials independently with guidance from the engineers. Record data accurately and legibly in Manufacturing Instructions (MI) and Forms (FOR). Enter required data and task time into ERP system for all tasks performed. Follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procedures. Transfer hazardous and non-hazardous materials to production areas and waste materials to collection areas for proper disposal. Enter support tickets into Poly-Med Facilities and Poly-Med Helpdesk systems as needed. Compile information and prepare in-house memos, reports, and other materials as requested. Ability to trouble-shoot process and/or equipment problems. Provide advice and training to others. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
