Job Description
Quality Control Technician Pete Lien & Sons, Inc., a leader in multi-state mining, mineral processing, and construction materials, is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team in Rapid City, SD. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of ready-mix concrete and precast, as well as provide essential product quality support to our mining and mineral processing operations. About the Role Perform chemical and physical tests to ensure product compliance with ACI, ASTM, AASHTO and PCI standards. Collect and prepare samples from plants and job sites for analysis. Conduct in-depth problem-solving, data analysis, and troubleshooting of material performance issues. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring an organized and efficient testing environment. Collaborate with team members to resolve quality concerns in the lab, at the plant, and in the field, including adjusting concrete mixes using appropriate admixtures. Collaborate with team members to resolve quality concerns in the lab and at point of operation, including providing support to adjust plant settings. Provide support to production teams, sales staff, and customers regarding product quality and safety.
