A quality checker will be proactively observing and checking daily production processes and product produced in a manufacturing setting. Typical Duties, tasks, and responsibilities:

• Records number and types of defects noticed or encountered.
• Observes the operation in the organization to ensure that all processes involved are competent to meet up with the desired output.
• Works in tandem with operators and material handlers to keep track of products and their change in quality if there is any.
• Performs regular quality checks on profiling parts and processes.
• Makes independent research about how best to ensure efficiency in quality of products from Steel Warehouse.
• Gives reports to the relevant quality control bodies as a routine duty.
• Recommends outright rejection of goods or products that fall short of the standards of the organization or quality control regulatory body and its customers.
• Keeps record of inspections for future reference.
• Works with part prints to verify quality of parts produced.
• Works with Quality Technician to determine quality of steel sheets, profiling parts and work processes.
• Computer Skills o Familiar with Windows. o File explorer o Adobe Acrobat o Outlook
• Excellent Technical Skills o Understands basic operations of manufacturing stations in the plant.

o Ability to pinpoint faults or defects and the cause of them. o Ability to read prints - i.e. PDF prints provided by customers to verify dimensions of profiling parts. o Proficient in understanding dimensions. Use of calipers, micrometers and tape measure is required. Effective communication o Able to communicate findings to operators, technicians and management.
