We are a premier, well-established industrial services company in the Cleveland, TN area. Known for our efficiency, high safety standards, and prominence in the local market, we provide essential logistical and processing support to a wide variety of commercial clients. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our operations team.
Position Summary:
As a Scale Operator, you will serve as the gatekeeper for our facility's inbound and outbound logistics. You will be responsible for accurately managing our commercial truck scales, verifying data, and documenting the weights of incoming commercial and industrial materials. This is a critical role requiring excellent observation skills and basic data-entry proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate commercial truck scales and weighing software to accurately log vehicles. Inspect arriving vehicles to ensure documentation matches the cargo profile. Document weights, generate precise scale tickets, and process basic transactional records. Direct drivers and equipment operators to the appropriate offloading or staging zones. Maintain a clean, organized scale house and adhere strictly to facility safety protocols. Communicate professionally with truck drivers, commercial clients, and internal yard staff.
What We Are Looking For:
Strong basic mathematical skills and high attention to detail. Comfortable utilizing computers and specialized weighing software (training provided). Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or logistical environment. Excellent communication skills and a dependable, punctual work ethic. Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, shipping/receiving, or scale operation is a plus, but not required.
