Job Description

We are Techmer PM — the world's foremost materials design firm, creating custom polymers that make up essential products. Through our long-standing partnerships with processors, original equipment manufacturers, and product designers, we've worked for decades to tackle manufacturing and business challenges through sustainable, future-minded solutions. We are currently seeking an a Metrology Technician for our Clinton, TN. facility. This position will be on 1st shift and is a part-time position.

Quality Manager Job Purpose:
As a Metrologist, you will be at the forefront of measurement, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of instruments and measurement systems that are indispensable across various industries. Whether it's in manufacturing, research and development, or quality assurance, your expertise in the science of measurement will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. From conducting meticulous calibrations and developing measurement methodologies to complying with international standards and troubleshooting complex measurement issues, the tasks of a Metrologist are both diverse and challenging.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will ensure all products/materials meet quality requirements through quality control testing, sample compounding, and that all company resources are utilized efficiently. Develop and calibrate measurement instruments and systems as needed Manage all external Calibration Vendors Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of measurement equipment Analyze measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency Develop measurement procedures and protocols as needed Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Provide technical support and training to other departments as needed Document and report measurement and calibration results Conduct research to improve measurement techniques and technologies Collaborate with team to resolve measurement challenges Certify equipment and processes according to national and international standards as needed

Experience with calibration and measurement systems Familiarity with industry standards such as
ISO/IEC 17025
Proficient in using measurement software and tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy Prior experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation Knowledge of quality management systems Strong understanding of measurement principles and techniques Experience with instrumentation and calibration Proficient in data analysis and interpretation Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of metrology software and tools Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma Minimum 2 years' experience in environments that required types of weighing and/or measuring systems. Experience in the collection and storing of data in a presentable format when needed. Having the ability to work independently or in a group while maintaining a commitment to accuracy.
