Job Description

Job Summary The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for completing quality checks and process audits to ensure products meet high quality standards and ensuring our quality processes are followed. This position will collect and track the data being provided and analyze the data to offer insight and suggestion on areas of improvement such as cost minimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete quality checks to ensure products meet high quality standards
  • Report quality discrepancies to appropriate personnel
  • Ensures all QA processes are followed and track related quality statistics
  • Analyzes the QA check sheets to obtain an overall understanding of the manufacturing challenges
  • Assist in the on-going discussions to determine corrective actions, root cause analysis and long-term preventative actions
  • Perform regular QA Audits to ensure processes are being followed
  • Document all internal and external NCR's
  • Work with QA Contacts at each facility as a cohesive unit
  • Update PC Group on FA review completions and save all relevant documentation/photos in the customer folder Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and PakFab policies
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • Post Secondary education in a related field an asset
  • 2+ years of experience in QA roles
  • Welding and metal work experience an asset
  • Proficient with computers, especially with MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand drawings Experience in the packaging industry an asset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach #

$18.00 - $19.75 per hour
