QA/QC Inspector / Fabrication in Abilene TX Samuel Engineering, Inc. Abilene, TX Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Record keeping Calibration Mid-level Inspection reporting and documentation Material testing Construction document control Implementation of OSHA safety standards Quality audits Construction quality control Training Construction workplace safety regulations Construction quality assurance Full Job Description Assess subcontractors' capabilities to meet the quality requirements of the project as required. Responsibility for the performance of all inspection and testing activities as defined by contract. Assure that the contract obligations for testing and record keeping are adhered to. Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project. Keep calibration records and ensure that all testing equipment has current calibration records. Ensure proper turnover of complete quality control package(s). Responsible for ensuring that turnover documentation is maintained, organized and turned over on schedule. Maintain project quality records for the construction phase of the project and quality audit plans, performance and management thereof. Perform evaluations of subcontractors' facilities, as needed, to determine their capabilities in meeting the quality requirements. Conduct periodic Quality Program training for site supervisory personnel. All other duties as normally required by our QA/QC Department, and as required by daytoday business. Work with in precise limits and standards of accuracy Perform mechanical inspections on Electrical installed items (plumb, square, level, tight, etc.) Participate in pre-pour inspections of concrete/grout forms, rebar, and embeds. Monitor post poured concrete/grout to insure post pour care is followed per specifications. Observe all installation of concrete/grout, and maintain all documentation required for installation. Verify all Civil testing is being performed by certified inspection technicians (i.e. density of subgrades, concrete testing, grout testing, etc.) Work within company policy as outlined in the Samuel EPC Craft Handbook, compliant with the Samuel EPC Human Resources Policy Manual, and with the Samuel EPC Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules. Follow oral and written directions and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
