About the role The Aerospace Quality Inspector ensures that components, assemblies, and processes meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards. This role supports safety and airworthiness through detailed inspection, documentation review, and adherence to established Quality Management System requirements.

Work Eligibility:
Must be authorized to work in the United States. What you'll do Perform detailed visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in process parts, and finished aerospace assemblies. Use advanced metrology tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMM equipment. Review, prepare, and verify First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102, material certifications, and test reports to support full traceability. Review, verify, and issue FAA Form 8130 3 in compliance with FAA regulations, ensuring parts, components, and documentation meet airworthiness, traceability, and regulatory requirements prior to certification. Audit production processes to ensure adherence to AS9100 standards, FAA regulations, and internal work instructions. Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials. Initiate root cause analysis and participate in Corrective Action Board reviews. Conduct incoming inspections of supplier provided parts and final buy off inspections prior to customer delivery. Prepare inspection plans using data from blueprints, customer specifications, and procurement documentation. Perform conformity inspections for newly designed parts to ensure they meet design and specification requirements. Complete general quality and inspection duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Two to five years of quality inspection experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T symbols. Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment. Attention to detail with a strong focus on precision and accuracy in a high stakes environment. Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify patterns in defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with engineering, production, quality, and regulatory auditors. Experience with ERP or MRP software and digital QMS platforms for data entry and recordkeeping. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Fine motor skills for handling delicate aerospace components. Vision corrected to 20/20, including near vision and color perception as required for specific inspection types. Preferred Qualifications Technical certification or associate degree in Nondestructive Testing or Quality Technology. ASQ Certified Quality Inspector certification. Specialized certifications such as Level II NDT. Experience supporting
AS9100, AS9102, FAA
regulations, and aerospace manufacturing quality systems. Experience working with premium audio, cabin management, lighting, or advanced aviation systems.
