Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Vehicle State Inspector to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety, mechanical, and regulatory standards. Your expertise will help maintain the highest quality of vehicle safety and performance, providing peace of mind to customers and compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities Perform thorough vehicle inspections, including checking mechanical systems, electrical components, tires, brakes, lights, and body condition to assess overall vehicle health. Identify and document any mechanical issues or safety concerns, providing clear reports for repair or maintenance needs. Conduct automotive tire changes and basic auto body repairs using hand tools and power tools as needed. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, oil changes, and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation. Utilize auto estimating software to evaluate repair costs and communicate findings effectively with customers or team members. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements during inspections and repairs. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and vehicle history for accurate tracking and reporting. Qualifications Proven experience in vehicle inspection or automotive repair, with mechanic experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and engine components. Ability to operate standard passenger cars confidently and safely. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, auto estimating procedures, and auto body repair techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods. Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
