Threading Inspector

Description:

This position inspects API 5CT Casing threads and other Premium and Semi-Premium non- API threads (ID & OD) as per customer and industry specifications.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Qualifications:

High school/ GED or equivalent work-related experience. Prior experience with thread inspection and gauging of threaded connections preferred. Intermediate arithmetic skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to read measuring equipment and procedures. Must be able to push, pull and have good finger and hand dexterity with good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities:

Verifies material against work order requirements. Check product thread elements and dimensions. Verify calibration and working condition of measuring equipment. Complete all inspection reports precisely, neatly, and on time. Keep work area orderly with respect to materials, tools, and personal belongings. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.

Activities:
