About the Role As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will serve as a critical guardian of production standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will leverage your technical expertise in precision measurement and blueprint interpretation to ensure every component meets rigorous dimensional and quality benchmarks, directly impacting the reliability of our final products. Responsibilities Verify the accuracy of sheet metal components throughout the fabrication, assembly, and finishing stages to ensure adherence to design specifications. Analyze complex blueprints and technical drawings to translate tolerances and work instructions into actionable inspection criteria. Utilize precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to perform detailed dimensional analysis on parts and raw materials. Conduct thorough visual and functional audits to detect non-conformities and prevent defects from reaching the next stage of production. Document inspection outcomes with precision, providing clear data to support continuous improvement and quality control initiatives. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality deviations and implement effective corrective actions. Maintain a high standard of workplace safety and organization to support efficient inspection workflows. Qualifications Required Skills Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and schematics. Hands-on experience with precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Strong mathematical aptitude, specifically regarding fractions and decimals. Proven ability to maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced industrial setting. Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills Prior experience in a sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing quality role. Familiarity with ISO standards or structured Quality Management Systems (QMS). Basic computer literacy for digital documentation and reporting. Experience conducting process audits to ensure operational compliance.
