Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented Electrical Technician . This role will involve assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical control panels according to specification. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical components, the ability to interpret schematics, and hands-on experience in building panels. Duties Assemble electrical control panels, including wiring, component placement, and layout according to provided schematics and drawings. Perform wiring and installation of components such as circuit breakers, transformers, relays, and PLCs. Conduct inspections and testing to ensure all panel components are correctly installed, wired, and meet quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during assembly and testing, working closely with engineers and project managers as needed. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and company safety standards. Document assembly processes, testing results, and any modifications made during the panel build. Collaborate with team members and provide support in training junior technicians, as necessary.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in electrical technology or a related field is preferred.Experience:
Proven experience as a Panel Technician, Electrical Technician, or in a similar role; hands-on experience with panel assembly and wiring is essential.Licensing and Certifications:
Valid master electrician license.Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics Knowledge of electrical components including circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, and transformers. Familiarity with National Electrical Code Ability to use hand and power tools, as well as test equipment such as multimeters and continuity testers. Attention toDetail:
High level of accuracy in panel layout, wiring, and component installation.Problem Solving Skills:
Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify and correct issues in panel assembly.Communication Skills:
