Job Description

We are currently seeking an entry-level candidate to work as a technician in Quality Control doing mostly administration type of work within the Quality Department. We are seeking 1, Full Time employee, 40 hours a week. Our business operates Monday
  • Friday.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Quality Manager with their duties. Helping to maintain a corporate quality assurance system and team that promotes customer satisfaction and that positively impacts the financial performance of IBSCO.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with employees, auditors, inspectors, and technicians to achieve a consistent level of product quality that satisfies customer requirements.
  • Acquiring documentation and perform inspections in relation to government orders.
  • Maintaining information and data input for monthly tasks such as conformance tracking for all sub-departments of shipping, receiving, production, RGA's, and supplier performance.
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with any extra duties done by the quality department.
  • Continuing education related to the management of a QMS, which may include off-site Certified Auditor classes or other relevant courses.
  • Understand quality standards and requirements of IBSCO's work instructions.
  • Perform cross-functional tasks as requested by management.
  • Follow all company rules and policies outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Work individually and as part of a team to maximize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Work and communicate professionally with both internal and external personnel.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned or requested by management.
Job Qualifications:
Excellent attention to detail. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Experience in reading complex mechanical drawings and in the practical application of geometric dimension and tolerancing. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent computer skills. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Job Requirements:
Ability to engage in physical activities and manual labor, including but not limited to:
  • Prolonged standing, walking, lifting and bending.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Government contract inspection experience highly recommended. No Quality experience needed.
