Friday Job Summary:
  • We are hiring an experienced Quality Assurance Technician with a strong background in sheet metal manufacturing, machined components, and weld inspection .
  • This is a hands-on manufacturing quality role responsible for inspecting fabricated and machined parts, maintaining inspection documentation, supporting quality systems, and ensuring products meet engineering drawings and specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Inspect machined and fabricated components to verify conformance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform first article inspections and document inspection results.
  • Inspect weldments and fabricated assemblies for dimensional and visual compliance.
  • Create and maintain inspection forms and quality documentation.
  • Conduct capability studies and Gage R&R activities.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection equipment remains within calibration requirements.
  • Perform incoming inspections for raw materials and purchased components.
  • Document quality issues, deviations, and corrective actions in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Track and update quality metrics and department KPIs.
  • Assist with internal audits and quality management processes.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, vendors, and customer service teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and lean manufacturing activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong sheet metal manufacturing experience.
  • Experience inspecting machined components and weldments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD -based prints.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and supporting corrective actions.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel for quality reporting and charting.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within ISO-based quality systems.
  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems.
  • Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or 5S initiatives.

  • Height gauges
  • Profilometers
  • Pin gauges and gauge blocks
  • Go / No-Go gauges
  • Radius gauges
  • Telescopic gauges
  • Taper gauges
