Quality Manager Shift:

Essential Responsibilities:
Perform daily QC tests for production batches and incoming raw materials per established test procedures and work instructions accurately and timely to meet delivery commitment Develop batch adjustments to meet Hempel quality standards Testing and approval of production batches to ensure proper color match Promptly document color data Update batch status and enter results into software as required Communicate and update production staff on the status of batches Maintain and store color draw downs in database Prepare timely documentation of quality tests data and retained sample record and QC database entry while ensuring accuracy Assist to ensure lab test samples and chemicals are kept in stock, (etc. solvents, cures and bases) Conduct consistent quality checks during production and filling of batches Testing approval of incoming bulk shipments of raw material Demonstrate good housekeeping and maintenance of laboratory and equipment. Assist in technical evaluation of nonconforming batches and customer complaints Adhere to all safety rules and regulations Assist in fulfilling sales requests Perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving Attention to batch ticket details Execute industrial hygiene practices Ability to manage time
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel) Organizational skills Working knowledge of basic chemistry and algebra Minimum 1 year of analytical lab or paint experience Understand of lab equipment including setting and calibration English language proficiency Normal color vision required for color testing ERP system experience and color-matching software preferred Ability to operate in a cross-functional atmosphere What is in it for you? Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to work in a laboratory environment which can include solvents, dust and other chemicals. This position requires the employee to be able to perform normal physical labor in relation to the laboratory manufacture and application of coatings samples. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, general office environment. Occasional duties in high noise areas requiring hear protection is required.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasional lifting of containers up to 50 lbs., the ability to wear PPE as required, and the ability to stand up to 2 hour periods.
